Introducing Tired Pony (Fiction/Polydor Recs)

This new supergroup includes Gary Lightbody (frontman of Snow Patrol), Peter Buck (guitarist for R.E.M.), Richard Colburn (drummer for Belle & Sebastian).  And their debut release The Place We Ran From is out as of July 12, 2010 in the UK and will be out September 28, 2010 in the US.  It features Zoey Deschanel (She & Him), M. Ward (She & Him, Bright Eyes), and Tom Smith (The Editors).  The album was produced by Jacknife Lee (Snow Patrol, U2, R.E.M., Weezer, etc).

Levi’s Pioneer Sessions: ‘Fools Rush In’ covered by She & Him (Merge Recs)

Levi’s have begun an awesome campaign whereby they ask artists to record a cover of a song that has inspired them.   The songs are FREE legal downloads and some great artists have been seen put into the mix including: The Swell Season (AKA the movie ‘Once’), Jason Mraz, John Legend & the Roots, Passion Pit, The Shins, Colbie Callait, and more.  For the downloads visit here.
