Introducing The Civil Wars (Sensibility Music Recs)

The Civil Wars are a passionate folk rock duo (Nashville, TN).  Their debut album Barton Hallow is due out February 11, 2011.  It features the track “Poison & Wine” which Taylor Swift today listed as one of her favorite songs on her iTunes playlist (also featured on Grey’s Anatomy).  Swift says of the track “This song kills me.  It’s such a real glimpse into miscommunications in a relationship.  Love can feel so wrong and right at the same time.  I think this is my favorite duet.  It’s exquisite.”

Lead vocalist Joy Williams has sold over 250,000 records as a solo artist signed to SONY and even written songs for musicians including David Archuleta.  She won an ASCAP Christian Music Award for most performed song in 2005 and 11 Dove Award nominations.  Joy and husband, Nate, founded Senisbility Music.
