FIRST LISTEN: ‘So Beautiful So What’ by Paul Simon (Concord Music Group)

So Beautiful Or So What

So Beautiful So What is due April 12, 2011. It was produced by longtime Paul Simon producer Phil Ramone (Still Crazy After All These Years, There Goes Rhymin’ Simon). Of the album Simon has said, “It’s the best work I’ve done in 20 years.” This means it should be his greatest album since his no. 1 platinum selling album Rhythm of the Saints (1990). Simon wrote all of the songs on the album and it carries his signature multi-instrumental sound and religiously tied lyrics steeped in fine pop prose.
