At the time of it’s release ‘Darkness on the Edge of Town’ went to no. 5 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and has gone 3x Platinum.  Here is a pearl from the Boss inspired by America:

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir was formed in 1847 by Pioneers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  This means the choir has been functioning for 163 years during which time it has toured most of the world, earned a Grammy and an Emmy, and has performed for every president of the United States of America since President William Howard Taft (18 presidents).

President Ronald Reagan called them “America’s Choir”.   Presenting the National Anthem performed live:

‘America’ by Imagine Dragons

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE WEEKEND!

From one of the BEST new bands in ages comes the American anthem of the year.
We love this song because not only does it applaud America but it asks America for help… after all we’re the greatest country in the world.

‘America’ by Imagine Dragons was the taste making Sophie 103.7FM (San Diego)’s Challenge Champion yesterday over ‘Listomania’ by Phoenix (EMI Records). They are up against Tegan and Sara (Sire Records) this weekend. The song and movie are FREE downloads on the band’s myspace in support of the Wounded Warrior Project. http://myspace.com/imaginedragons

Imagine Dragons are widely hailed by music critics as a soon to be worldwide act. They played the BMI Showcase at 2010’s SXSW Festival, can be seen frequenting Las Vegas casino venues, and produce some extraordinary live performances. They’ve also managed to win contests like VEGAS’ MIX 94.1 FM Band Battle for Bite and The Break: Bamboozle Contest 2010.
